How To Make Your Home Extra Cozy For Fall

It’s that time of year again. A time for fairy lights, oversized sweaters, and seasonal Starbucks drinks. Fall is officially upon us, and here at Career Girl Daily, we are loving every minute of it!

It’s also the time to make our homes feel extra cozy, so we can crash in comfort as soon as we get home from a hard day’s work. Here are my top tips to making your home cute, warm and cozy for fall . . .

Mix your colors

Mix neutral and fall colors! Your rooms need some color in the winter months. Try adding some red or orange tones. Be subtle: like a red throw over your sofa to snuggle up to after a long day. Another tip is to buy some gorgeous flowers that are full of color and really bring the room together!

Think Festive

Okay, so Christmas is still over a month away. But that doesn’t mean a few bits and bobs aren’t allowed! You don’t have to go crazy – add some colorful fairy lights in different rooms. Start buying some festive, Christmas cushions. And as soon as it feels acceptable to get really Christmassy, put up your tree!

Make A Nook

Create a cozy nook somewhere. Find a space where you can pile blankets and pillows and candles. Maybe near a window so you can look at the chilly outside world but feel warm and safe with a book and cup of tea in your nook.

These simple and affordable tips could have your home feeling warm and fall-ready in no time at all! ‘Tis the season to be creative!

I’m all about the Fall nook. Although I live in a NYC studio (therefore not much space) the reading nook is a must have!
