How To Do Your Makeup For Work This Fall

Fall is all about smoky eyes and vampy lips. Not looks many of us can rock to work, right? Think again. With a little tweak here and there, we can make these, and more, trendy makeup looks work for the office too. Don’t believe me? I’ll show you:

chocolateThe classic black smokey eyes look is too harsh for work. Browns, instead, don’t look out of place even in the most conservative offices. Choose warm, chocolate shades and smoke them out gently to create a seamless, sultry gradient that’ll last throughout your working day, and well into the night, for cocktails with your girlfriends, or dinner with that special someone. This look is easy to achieve with the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar. It features 16 eyeshadows, all infused with cocoa powder. They’re so delicious, you’ll want to eat them.

Plum lips are huge this fall. And no, they’re not just for your fun time. Sheer, shiny plum lipsticks provide a subtle wash of colour and a bit of shine that make you look both professional and stylish. Even your boss will love them. Our favourite? Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Moisturizing Lipstick in Smoky Plum. It’s office approved. And limited edition, so get yours while you can.

Forget about golds and silvers. This season’s all about bronze. Office-friendly, bronze shades warm up the complexion and give you a healthy glow. We love MAC Bronze Eye Shadow. It works well with any shade and is a breeze to blend. Perfect for those rushed mornings when you need to get ready in no time.

Don’t have to contour in the morning? Who cares? Contouring is out. At least for this season. Now, it’s all about flushed cheeks. If you don’t feel like going for a long, brisk walk in this cold weather, fake the look with a rosy blush. With its sheer colour payoff and dewy finish, Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze in Make A Mauve is perfect to achieve this youthful look.

  1. I love all of these looks but I’m such a sucker for dark lips in the fall. Loving the plum! However the flushed look is one that I will probably be rocking A LOT.

  2. I am going to start top down and try these all this season. I normally do quite boring makeup because I am too scared to over do it for work. But now I have some awesome templates! Thanks!
