Running your blog like a magazine is probably the best way to boost followers and get what you want from it. The danger is that you’ll treat your blog as an extension of yourself and forget to post consistently or deliver good content. In order to be successful, you need consistent branding, engagement with your followers, good quality posts and good SEO. So, if you want to grow your blog, it might be time to start treating it like a magazine. Here’s how.

Branding
The first thing you notice about a magazine is the front page, they have consistent branding and the most popular headlines on the front. Take a look at your blog’s front page and see if it has the same effect, does it make people want to stay? Does it match the style of your blog? If you can pin posts to your front page, or feature them, you should use only the best posts. Likewise, take some time to figure out your logo and color scheme, you can even purchase templates for your blog.

Content and values
Magazines have editorial meetings and their content has to be strong. When you’re choosing the content for your blog, choose what interests you but make sure it has a good story. If you’re passionate about a subject, most likely your readers will be too.
