Do You Really Need A Virtual Assistant To Stay Motivated?

Staying motivated isn’t always easy – especially if you’re a freelancer and not part of a bigger office. So why not hire a virtual assistant? If you’re thinking ‘what the heck is a virtual assistant?’ you aren’t alone.

If you have the finances and need an extra helping hand, a virtual assistant might just be for you, here’s why.

What is a virtual assistant?
Virtual assistants are mostly self-employed and work in an office sharing environment or in their own home office. From their workplace, they fulfill a lot of tasks for you which could also be fulfilled by a personal assistant – but without being physically at the same place as you or your company.

What can a virtual assistant do for me?
There are a whole bunch of tasks which are often outsourced to virtual assistants! Basically, any task you would like a personal assistant to fulfill for you but could also be fulfilled by a person who is working in a completely different place can easily be done by a virtual assistant. Such tasks can include but are not limited to replying to emails, setting up newsletters and corresponding forms, updating your website and your social media accounts and more.

What are the disadvantages?
You’re giving away responsibility and you need to find a virtual assistant you can trust. If your virtual assistant, for example, is supposed to update your Twitter account, you not only need to give them your password – you also need to be sure that they know to choose the right content for your audience. Also, virtual assistants are not cheap and generally fulfill tasks you could also fulfill yourself so you need to be sure that they really help you and take jobs off your hands.

Do I need a virtual assistant to keep me motivated?
A virtual assistant can do the simple jobs you don’t have time for so that you can concentrate on more important tasks. This can help you focus and stay motivated but you need to know if you have managed your money well enough to hire a virtual assistant and whether you actually want to delegate tasks to them.

I don’t think a virtual assistant is needed to stay motivated, you would do that yourself if you enjoy what you do, but a PA would help save time for the time poor! x
