The Best Netflix Movies To Get You In The Christmas Spirit

As the Christmas break draws ever nearer there is one thing on everyone’s mind: relaxation. This time of year is as joyful as it is stressful and sometimes a little timeout is in order. Lucky for us we’re about to get the free time we need to do just that! So, shut out the world, grab a hot drink, snuggle up in your comfiest pajamas to see in the holidays with a naughty and nice marathon of these Netflix Christmas movies!

Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

This movie, starring Jim Carrey at his comedic best, is a barrel of laughs all year round! The classic story of the Grinch is one we all know and love now, how many times have you been called a Grinch, for example? A classic we’ve seen more times than we can count, it never gets old and won’t fail in getting you in the Merry Christmas spirit!

Bad Santa (2003)

One of those on the naughty list, this dark comedy mixes funny and obscene seamlessly. It has everything an adult would want (and doesn’t usually get) in a Christmas movie: heart, humor, and filth!

Radio City Christmas Spectacular (2007)

A feel-good dazzler of a spectacle, sure to help you kick off the winter blues and kick into the holiday season! Radio City Music Hall’s song and dance-filled extravaganza will lift your spirits and help you shake off all the excess stress of previous weeks!

White Christmas (1954)

An ultimate Christmas classic, if Radio City didn’t give you the dancing bug, then this sure will! With outstanding song and dance numbers and starring the king of Christmas, Bing Crosby, we’re all in need of this heart-warming, festive romance to get us on Santa’s nice list!

Gremlins (1984)

Who doesn’t love a bit of retro? And you don’t get much more retro than Gremlins! This mischevious movie is nostalgia in an hour and fifty minutes. Cheery and disturbing in equal measures, it’s a perfect break from the usual cheesy Christmas stories.

A Christmas Prince (2017)

This new release is exactly what you’re expecting it to be: mushy. The movie tracks an undercover journalist who ventures to get the scoop on a handsome but flaky prince and (shock horror) falls in love in the process! But it’s Christmas and it wouldn’t be the same without a cheesy, far-fetched, feel-good movie!

  5. I expected “White Christmas” to be on your list. If Netflix didn’t have it in their database it could almost be considered unAmerican. LOL. But I am disappointed that Netflix doesn’t have a good version of “The Christmas Carol”. Aren’t you?
