1. The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1
For those that have been keeping up with the Divergent series, we now get to find out what will happen to Tris after the earth-shattering revelations of ‘Insurgent’. But if you haven’t watched any of the films, I will avoid any spoilers but highly recommend you start catching up! A strong female lead, romance and conspiracies galore. For more inspiring films every twentysomething should watch, read this article.
A movie to please all – a mix of superheroes, laughs, romance and Ryan Reynolds in reaaaaaally tight spandex. Do you need any more reasons to hit up the cinema this weekend? I think not.
3. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2
Here comes the second instalment following the hilarious lives of the Portokalos family. But now, a big secret brings the family back together for an even bigger and Greeker wedding. If it is anything like the first, I will be laughing my way out the cinema.
4. How To Be Single
Come on ladies, this movie is ideal for us single gals. Watch as Robin (Rebel Wilson) teaches Alice (Dakota Johnson) the right way to play the field in New York City. There is no better feeling than watching someone else make a fool out of themselves and you might even learn a thing or two about the ever-confusing (and changing) thing called love. If you are also a bit of a Rebel Wilson fan, why not read our article on how she made it!
5. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
The title says it all really. Inspired by the novel, see this ingenious twist on the already spectacular Austen classic to get your dose of the dashing Mr Darcy while watching Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters kick zombie butt. That’s ultimate girl power right there! For any of you Austen fans, here’s a round-up of CGD’s fave period dramas!
