We love Tyra Banks! From top model to entrepreneur and tv-host, this inspiring woman simply is a real #girlboss!
And now she is doing it again but has exchanged models for entrepreneurs in her new tv-show Funded. Tyra, and her co-hosts brand builder, Rohan Oza, and venture capitalist, Rob Dyrdek, will help and mentor startups and entrepreneurs, that are on the edge of making it big, to compete for an investment of 1 million dollars.
This will be the first show of its kind. Think Shark Tank or Dragon’s Den but with entrepreneurs and business models instead of inventions.
Every episode, the 3 hosts each will pick a startup with a revolutionary idea to mentor. At the end of each show, the startups have to pitch their ideas to a venture capitalist that hopefully will invest 1 million dollars into their business. There is 1 catch, only one startup per episode will be funded.
Tyra is known to be a cheerleader and encourager for other people’s dreams so the fact that she’s hosting a tv show like this doesn’t really come as a surprise. This is what she had to say about her new project:
“I have spent my life encouraging people to BYOB — Be Your Own Boss. Making everyday people’s dreams come true is what I live for. Funded is the life-changing type of television power project that gets me pumped. We will enlighten and entertain audiences big time and encourage our viewers to attack their most outrageous goals with fierce determination.”
Well, what can we say? This show is simply an absolute must-watch for every Career Girl! We can’t wait until it comes out!
