We originally planned to do Celina’s beauty routine for work today, but over the weekend we started talking about the East Africa food crisis. Over here, there are adverts on the TV showing it right now, and while we’re lucky this weekend to have comfy beds, full stomachs, and money to spend, there are millions of people starving in Africa.
It’s easy to enjoy your weekend and not think twice about this kind of thing, but donating and volunteering for others will help you feel more positive and grateful. So if you can spare even $1/£1 for the people in Africa, you should do it this weekend!

How can you help?
You can donate, raise awareness, or throw a fundraiser to help. Every little helps. Head over to Oxfam and make a pledge to help the crisis. South Sudan is on the brink of a catastrophe, 7.5 million people need humanitarian assistance, Ethiopia needs food and water aid desperately, Kenya’s food supplies are suffering from a drought and Somalia is at a serious risk of famine.
While we’re all enjoying our lunch and surrounding ourselves with the people we love, it’s impossible to imagine what it would feel like to live there right now. If you can help you’ll be improving the lives of thousands (if not millions) of people.
If you want to help, just go to Oxfam now to see what you can do!
Thank you for reading! Spread the love.
