The One Trick You Need To Try For A Stress-Free Morning

I don’t know about you, but I like my showers HOT.

Only after working out am I able to have a well-deserved cold shower to calm my muscles with.

But that was until I had a conversation with my friend. She told me all the amazing benefits of having cold showers. She thinks cold showers have changed her life. Which sounded terrible to me, but the more she talked about it the more I was convinced. Who’d have thought?

Obviously curious, I decided to do some research and find out exactly why a cold shower in the morning can change your morning for the better.

The only benefit you need to know:

I think it’s best to first point out that showers are not just for cleaning your body. They actually have more of an impact than that! These cold shower benefits can do a lot of great things for your body and even your mental health.

And I know, cold showers may be well, cold and not so enjoyable, but after a while, you really do get used to it! And trust me, when you realize all the amazing benefits it can have on your health you won’t turn back! There’s a reason Miranda Kerr attributes a cold shower to a healthy body and mind.

One of the most rewarding benefits of a cold shower is the fact that it can really reduce stress and anxiety. you don’t need to add any special herbs or scents to help calm your mind down, all you need to do is have a cold shower!

A cold shower has an amazing impact on your nervous system as a whole, which helps it to reduce stress and even signs of depression.

Cold showers boost the levels of Glutathione circulating in the body, which is one of the main components that rid the body of uric acid and therefore, stress. It’s even known to help fight depression too.

Other benefits include…

Waking up in the morning isn’t easy on anyone. But having a cold shower can do wonders for waking your mind up and making you feel more alert. And this is because your body is responding to the temperature change.

The colder temperature is also great for controlling your mood and temperaments. People who have cold showers are actually better at keeping their moods calm and stable.

It’s also really great for helping you to lose weight more easily. It can even help you burn the extra few calories as your muscles shiver to warm themselves up!

Not only this, but your skin and hair will see an improvement and will even look younger and fresher! (And that’s the only bonus I need to know about)!

Plus, your muscles will be super relaxed afterward! And take it from the pros, cold showers and ice baths are used by athletes across the globe after they train and workout to repair and recover!

What do you think, will you give it a go?

  1. I am working day in and day out on my book THEY GREW UP IN THE SAME TOWN.These kids went to the same school married to different couple then got divorce and went to live out of wedlock. https://www.ihavesevenbooksblog.

  2. I know there are so many benefits from cold showers, but living in Minnesota, I just don’t think I could ever get used to that in the winter! Maybe I’ll start in the summer…. maybe.

    – Jo,

  3. Cold shower sounds awful! I can’t imagine getting properly clean w/ a cold shower, or to relax muscles after working out. Cold water would make me more tense (& less clean bc I would jump out quickly). Need heat to open pores.

  4. I know a lot of people take a hot shower and finish up cold. I would rather do that. I don’t like being cold!

  5. I’ve always thought about trying this but always chickened out! Ahhhh, I guess I’ll try it now.
    – Mez,

  6. I don’t think I could actually relax in a cold shower! My favorite reward for a hard work out is a long, hot shower. I feel quite calm and relaxed afterward. Maybe I will force myself, one day, to try a cold one, but for now…..

  7. Oh man, I’ve known a cold shower is better for you, but there’s probably NO WAY I could do it! I like washing my face with warm water in the morning, so cold is probably out of the question.
