The start of a new week can often be exciting because it’s like starting a whole new chapter. It gets easier if we have everything organized and ready so that we can stride into a new week with confidence, knowing that we have everything together. Here’s what you need to do to prepare for next week:

1. Spring Clean
Is the space that you’re living and working in clean? It goes a long way when you have a neat and tidy space because it helps clear your mind from the stress of not being able to find things where you left them. Take one hour, reorganize your things, throw out junk and rearrange your space if you need to. Light a nice pecan vanilla candle once you’re done for a nice touch.
2. Get your weekly to-do list ready
As Career Girls, we always have a billion things to do and sometimes we wish that we had more than twenty-four hours in a day. Well, to ease the workload, set out your weekly to-do list of the things that you need to accomplish for the week, we recommend using the Getting Things Done Planner because you can plan out every area of your life. Your mind will be calmer and able to pace your workload as you go about the week because you’re not trying to rush anything or have the risk of forgetting to do things.
3. Review your goals
Have you fallen off of your New Years Resolutions? We totally understand that feeling! For the next quarter of the year, focus on breaking down your big goals into small, bite-sized actions. For example, if you aim to start a website, break it down by working on one portion of your site during a short frame of time. The more you keep at it, the more you will find yourself working towards your goal.
4. Meal Prep
Write out your grocery shopping list and start prepping your meals for the week! This helps you save money, eat healthier and make better decisions with what you choose to eat. Take a few hours from the weekend and prepare your menu for the week. Trust me, you’ll feel so much better cooking from home and eating healthier. Plus, it’s always fun to try out new recipes!
5. Stock up on supplies
Besides grocery shopping, are there other things that you need to get you through the week? Sometimes, having everything you need really helps so that you’re not scrounging around for stuff. If you need new stationery, clothes or household items, get that done and stock up on the bare necessities.
6. Put together your #ootd for the week
Plan out your outfits for the week and lay them out on a simple clothing rack. This definitely helps you save more time in the mornings, especially on days when you can’t decide what to wear! If it helps, you can also plan out shoes, scarves or bags that will go well with your #ootd so that you’ll have everything in one place.
7. Seek inspiration
Lastly, take some time to seek ideas and inspiration, whether it’s in the form of Pinterest or watching vlogs of other people’s morning/night routine or beauty tips. Sometimes, taking some time off to get inspiration may help us plan out our week differently and creatively. With the help of the internet, there are so many things and people that you can learn from!
Are you ready for the coming week? What’s one thing you can do today to help you prepare for next week?
