Work From Home: How To Stay Productive After Your 9-To-5

As hard as it can be, most of us have stuff to do when we get home from our daily grind. The ideal solution to a long day is always to go to bed and never get up again; but as lovely as that sounds, it wont get our ironing done. Check out this article on how to treat yourself when you can’t be bothered and then read this list on how to keep crushing it after work.

1. Don’t sit down

This may sound silly, but it works. If, when you get in from work, you sit straight down, chances are you aren’t going to want to get up again. However if you get in and straight away do the stuff you begrudgingly have to, it will be over before you know it and you can sit down in peace!

2. Listen to upbeat music

On your way home, listen to some happy, upbeat music: this will get you on track to dancing around your kitchen and doing your errands in no time! Check out our favorite mood enhancing music here.

3. Turn off your phone

Don’t be distracted! Switch off your phone or put it on silent so the temptation of Facebook isn’t looming. You might actually be more successful if you switch your phone off, read this article to find out why.

4. Make a list

5. Reward Yourself

When all is said and done, you deserve a treat. So as soon as you get home, decide what it is you need to do and decide what it is you’ll have when your finished. A nice glass of wine as a treat will surely get you through spin class?

    Making a playlist worked wonders for me! Some upbeat house tracks usually put me in an overall great mood, and to be fair I usually get all the work done with heavy handbanging or even dancing around!
