We love snacking in the office, from bags of chips to healthy chocolate brownies, we are the worst snackers in the world, so we decided to create something super healthy, filling and delicious that even models could graze on at photoshoots (and my did they love them!) The best thing about these is that they release energy slowly and will fill you up and keep you going for a long time, much longer than an energy drink could anyway! Here’s how to make your own yummy energy balls (they’re so easy it’s almost cheating!)
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter (or almond butter)
3 tablespoons honey
1 handful raisins and goji berries
3 tablespoons coconut milk
1 handful almond flakes
Place oats, cinnamon, chia seeds and almond flakes in a large bowl.
Add in peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract and stir.
Sprinkle your raisins and goji berries in so the mixture is sticky and resembles uncooked dough.
Slowly add liquid one tablespoon at a time and roll the balls using your hands.
Put some almond flakes into a bowl and coat your energy balls with flakes before placing on a plate and putting in the fridge to set for at least 30 minutes.
Ta-Da! Done!
