#1 We’re driven
Us ambitious women will often spend our spare time researching or doing extra work to lead us towards our dreams. We tend to have difficulty closing our laptops at night and might exist on a measly amount of sleep. Be prepared to deal with our constant laptop surfing or work preparations!
#2 We like to unwind
After a hard week we like nothing more than to sink into the sofa with a glass of wine and watch television. Don’t expect us to want to squeeze into a tiny dress and put on sky high heels all the time.
#3 We need support
Yeah, we might be strong and powerful but we have our low days too. We need someone who can talk us through our failures, pick us up after a bad interview and keep us on track towards our dreams.
#4 We’re short on time
We’re late, a lot. Maybe we get carried away on our laptop, misplace our keys or just aren’t happy with the way we look but we’ll probably be late at least once. Oh, and we don’t really have the time to eat or cook either, so don’t expect a sit down meal (maybe once in a blue moon).
#5 We need some fun
We need someone to stop us from burning ourselves out, someone that reminds us career isn’t everything and that we should celebrate our hard work every so often by having some fun. If you’ve got a great sense of humour, that will go a long way, too!
#6 We can provide for ourselves
We’re pretty happy buying our own things, treating ourselves and spending our own money. We won’t say no to being treated from time-to-time but hey, we can spend money on you, too. It’s the 21st century, after all!
#7 We need to rant
We all have a friend that we can rant at, but sometimes we need to get boss troubles or colleague issues off our chests, so don’t be alarmed if we turn to you for advice or a listening ear.
#8 There’s no time for jealousy
We have to interact with a variety of people, develop friendships and good work relationships with our co-workers of all genders! There’s no time for jealousy, so if you’re the jealous type it probably won’t work.
#9 We get what we want
There’s absolutely no room for negotiation, we know what we want and we have to think that somewhere down the line we’ll get it. We’ll work our butts off to make our dreams come true and if you stand in the way, we won’t have time for you anymore.
#10 You need your own life
We’re ambitious, you may or may not be. You might have your dream job already, but it’s important that you have your own friends and dreams and are happy to include us but equally happy to have some time for your own interests.
Of course the most important thing is to make sure you’re happy and have the perfect balance between friendship, relationships and work. Just enjoy yourself and make sure your dates respect you!
