The One Thing You Need To Do To Get Your Life Together

As career girls, we’re always looking to improve ourselves, whether it’s physically or mentally. So give yourself props for that! But sometimes, as we all know too well that when we’re stuck with doing the same thing over and over again, we can often become bored or lose sight of the end.

Face your fears to be successful…

Do one thing that scares you. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try mountain climbing but you never got around to doing it because of fear. One of the ways that you can counter this is to get support from friends. When you conquer your fears, you will find yourself braver and energized to tackle the goals you’ve set out for yourself. Never let fear stop you from doing something you want to do. Fear is something that we’ve created ourselves, it exists in our own mind. Take a deep breath, and jump! Overcoming just one fear will get you prepared for success, help you start believing in yourself and conquer any obstacle!

Here are some ways you can break out of your comfort zone, for good:

Tip 1: Start small

Of course, with every change that you make, start small. It doesn’t have to be difficult. Just plot those baby steps that will slowly get you out of that comfort zone that you’ve been living in. Unless going ‘cold turkey’ is something that you want to do, our advice would be to start small. The thing is, they may feel like small steps, but when you look at it later, it is those small steps that make the big steps towards your goals. You’ll be motivated by your progress, and your life will fall together. What more can you ask for?

Tip 2: Make conversation

Is there someone you’ve been meaning to speak to? Approach them! You’ll find that people are a lot nicer than you think. Sometimes, it could even be in the form of a tweet to your favorite author. I always used to be so afraid to put myself out there, to make connections. But why? If they’re not interested, then you tried. But more often or not they are, and you’ll find yourself making unexpected friends this way, which always helps when you need friends in the right places! The more you talk to people, the more confident you will become with things like public speaking!

Tip 3: Picture your role model

What always helps me is referring to other people. No one’s journey was easy. There are women, who have been exactly where we are and have battled through it to achieve their success. They are the success stories that make us believe it’s possible. Sophie Amoroso lost everything, but she didn’t sink away – and now she’s bigger and better than ever before. Know that you’re not alone, but let that inspire you to be all that you can be. Have them in mind, and your goal in heart and go!

Tip 4: Always say yes

The only way you find yourself with a balanced, full life, a great work/life balance and a positive outlook is by saying yes. Say yes to invitations even though they might tire you, say yes to trying new cuisines, traveling, mixing with new people, and if you don’t like it, at least you tried it! The real fear is looking back on life and realizing you never got around to doing what you wanted to!

Robert Allen once said that “everything you want is just outside your comfort zone”. And that’s really true! Sometimes, all it takes is just doing something differently or approaching someone you don’t know in order to reach your goals. We know it can feel a bit daunting to embrace your fears, so here are a few tips to help you do it.
