Looking for the productivity hacks of successful women? We all know that a big part of being successful is to be productive and waste as little time as possible (time is money and all that!) So I found some great hacks from four successful women that I look up to and admire, on how to be productive.
1. Good Morning Routine
Reese Witherspoon has always been one of my favorite actresses. It seems that she has more hours in the day than most others because not only is she an actress, she is also a producer and an entrepreneur.
She says that her morning routine is the secret to her success. She wakes up early and before she starts her day she reads a couple of email newsletters because she likes to be able to talk about all kinds of things and have meaningful conversations with people.
Another thing that is a part of her morning routine is exercising. I admit that when I’m busy, exercising is the last thing on my mind. Reese says that she always tries to squeeze in exercise because it changes her brain and she is a nicer person when she does.
2. Clean Desk
Marianna Hewitt is an amazing businesswoman and her skincare brand Summer Fridays have been very successful. It has been featured in Vogue, Instyle, and Glamour just to name a few.
She says that she spends most of her time at her desk so it’s very important to her that her desk is in order and she is surrounded by things that help her work smarter. Her favorite desk essentials are Blue light glasses, productivity cube, notebook & planner, oil diffuser, and water.
3. Take a Break
Ella Mills is the founder of Deliciously Ella. She is famous for her healthy recipes and has made several cookbooks. She also hosts a great health podcast that I really recommend.
Clearly she is a busy woman so whenever she can, she tries to switch off from the work routine as much as possible. That way, she can have some breathing space for creativity. She finds that when she is always looking at the screen her creativity flow isn’t as good.
4. Schedule your time
Michelle Obama is the former first lady of the USA as most of you probably know. She is also a lawyer, author and so much more. If you haven’t already read Becoming by Michelle you should definitely add that to your reading list.
Michelle’s productivity hack is to schedule everything and I mean eeeeverything. She says that she has to be fiercely organized to get anything done (she would definitely love the Getting Stuff Done planner) What I found interesting was that Michelle starts by scheduling her personal life, family time, her workouts, etc. and then what was left would be left for work.
I’m definitely going to try all of these hacks, I feel like I will be a lot more productive. Hope you can use these hacks as well and let me know what your favorite productivity hacks are.
