Is Letting Your Armpit Hair Grow Going To Be The New Trend?

Armpithair is back – especially when you look at Instagramaccounts like @pitangels. Shaving or waxing? That is so last year, let grow that hair! Miley Cyrus and Madonna are already spotted with this new ‘hype’ and if you want to spice it up a little, dyeing it in the most outgoing colors like pink, green or purple, makes you even more trendy.

Is this going to be a trend that only some celebrities and women will follow? And will more girls keep their pits hair free? According to Lieke Lamb, trendwatcher for the Telegraph, letting your hair grow is already a long and ongoing trend that stands for the purity of the female body. She goes on by saying that she believes that it is just a matter of time before having hairy arm pits will be the norm again and we can say goodbye to our razors and wax salons.

What are your thoughts on this new trend? A go or an absolute no-no?

No, just no. I think this might be one of those things that even if the celebs do it the whole world is not going to tag along with them. I like having my smooth armpits.

Hells no and don’t tell me I’m “supposed” to find that attractive. Everyone has the right to shave or not to but don’t tell me how to feel about it.

P.S. I am in the final stages of laser removal of my pits so there’s never going to be hair there….EVER… again.

Funny hat you mention this topic. My last blog post was exactly about hair removal strategies :). And no way that armpit hair will ever make me happy to see it, not on me, not on others. Maybe a cultural thing, but surely anthropological as we don’t need hair anymore on our bodies, because we have clothes to keep us warm, so its biological function is obsolete. But hey, everyone should have their own way of dealing with this topic, as long as they don’t flaunt their hairy armpits on me :) :) :).

Fittingly, Bloglovin could not show a preview picture for this article. I guess that states everything that needed to be said.

Oh my goodness. No. Just no. What even. Seems like another attention-seeking stunt and attempt to get in the limelight from celebrities. I’m sure the general public won’t follow.
