The Beckham’s are a globally recognised family for their successes and fame and mother of the household Victoria definitely doesn’t hide behind her husband success. She has been a part of one of the most iconic girl bands, a model, business woman, fashion designer and still managed to raise four children.

Victoria launched her career in 1993 when she became a member of the girl power group The Spice Girls, which gave her the nickname ‘Posh Spice’. She met footballer David Beckham in 1997 and the couple married two years later, the couple were named ‘Posh and Becks’ and Victoria gained the footballers wives label WAG. However, Victoria is a strong independent woman with her own passions and goals and did not live in the shadows of her husband’s career. Victoria began her career as a singer but her true passion lied in fashion. She designed her own line of Jeans VB Rocks for Rock and Republic in 2004. Next she took her hand to fashion advice in her book ‘That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between’ in 2006. Victoria then further established herself in the fashion world by launching her on designer sunglasses range dVb eyewear followed by her own line of jeans.

Victoria Beckham has created a brand empire, in 2008 she launched her first clothing line of dresses her label rose to huge success and by 2011 she was a regular at New York Fashion Week, and a lower-priced Victoria by Victoria Beckham was launched. Victoria made the transition from WAG to fashion designer/business woman and her label attracts a large celebrity following who request her designs for high-end red carpet events.

In 2011 Victoria Beckham won designer brand of the year at the British Fashion Awards and in 2012 she was the most talked about designer on Twitter during NYFW. She was also named Business Entrepreneur of the Year by the business magazine Management Today, her retail success shows that it is not just for her name and celebrity status that has made her successful but for her business mind and initiative as her turnover increased by 2900 percent in five years to £30 million.

Victoria Beckham has had huge success doing something she loves, her name may have got her the launch she needed, but her drive and brand marketing skills are what has made her empire. She is one of the most photographed women in the world, her face has been on magazines globally, she has her own fragrances, clothing line and sunglasses as well as modelling for other brands such as Emporio Armani and Marc Jacobs.

Victoria is the mother of four who have certainly inherited their parent’s good looks (who wouldn’t want to have those genes!) And their talents too, setting up the Beckham’s to continue into another generation of success!
