The Wellness Routine You Need To Try This Year


We’re always looking for ways to improve our health, and therefore our lifestyle. We have scoured the web to try and find the newest thing but came upon a three-thousand-year-old tradition instead, you might have seen this buzzword around already and wondered what it means. We’re talking bout Ayurveda and Ayurvedic medicine! So what is it? Ayurveda is one of the oldest holistic treatments in the world! The whole-body healing system proves that even three thousand years later, they’re still not forgotten.

Eastern belief surrounds the concept that everything in the universe is connected. Because health and wellness depend on balance, Ayurveda concentrates on balancing the mind, body, and spirit. There are Ayurvedic herbs that help with stress and nourishment, too! So, how does Ayurveda work and why should you try it!

1. Figure out how you’re unique

The ayurvedic method is very personalized. Knowing your mind-body type allows you to figure out your approach to health. Are you an anxious person? Are you confident? Are you led by your mind or your body? Find out how to calculate what kind of person  you are here.

2. Eat more colorful foods

To create a healthy body and mind, we need to nourish ourselves. So the key to a balanced diet is the six Ayurvedic tastes, sweet, salty, sour, pungent, bitter, and astringent. If you aren’t all about including all six tastes, fans of Ayurvedic medicine say it banishes your ability to overeat, but you can stick to colorful healthy foods instead.

3. Get a good night’s sleep

We need sleep to rejuvenate and relax. Having a bad night’s sleep leads to a weak immune system, and can even speed up the aging process. We’ve already talked about the key to a great night’s sleep, so make sure you’ve optimized your bedroom for the best night’s rest.

4. Live with nature

One part of Ayurvedic medicine we can get behind is being in touch with nature. The belief is that the further away you are from nature, the easier it is to slip into bad habits, sleep badly and eat junk food. Go into the countryside and connect with nature once in a while, we need it!

5. Listen to your body

You need to know what your body needs, so ask yourself what you need. When you feel stressed, you should close your eyes and ask yourself what you need. Maybe you need to rest, or maybe you need to workout, take the right path and treat your body right!

6. Follow the same routine

Ayurvedic medicine has many different practices we should all try, like not eating until you’re definitely hungry, drinking hot water with ginger, performing a daily oil massage and using detoxifying herbs like ashwagandha.
