What Happened When I Tried An Online Fashion Subscription

Everybody has heard of the phenomenon that is the online fashion subscription. I’ve always been kind of interested in the ins and outs of a subscription service. How does it work? What does it deliver? But you know, life gets in the way and I never took the plunge. After a while of thinking about it, I decided to give it a try.

I signed up for Shoedazzle. If you’re looking for affordable shoes that aren’t too much of a hassle, this might be the subscription service for you.

Here’s how it works:

STEP 1: The Quiz
It all starts with a quiz; everyone loves quizzes. You get to pick your favorite styles and what you’d be most likely to wear. Pick shoes that you’d wear, and outfits and brands that represent you. It’s actually kind of therapeutic.

STEP 2: Your Showroom
So once you’ve clicked everything you like and told the website what your style is, your showroom will load in. All the styles that will suit you and your preferences will be here, plus the options for membership, it’s a showroom full of shoes just for you. I decided to be the VIP I was born to be.

STEP 3: VIP Baby
For $39.95 a month I’m basically in my own red carpet section hanging out. I get my showroom, packed with all the styles I like and a couple of others that I’ve seen on well-dressed women. Now I have the option to get those shoes, with a fixed rate. VIP gives you access to sales, previews, and events as well as adding shipping costs to your monthly rate. You can also skip any month, so you won’t be charged if you don’t buy anything that month.

STEP 4: Shop till you drop
I bought the Kamaly heels in the color orange (also available in cognac & yellow). They arrived in a pretty nice box and I was actually excited to unbox them. The shoes are extremely cute and perfect for my upcoming vacay.

My Shoedazzle review: I didn’t know what to expect, but I think Shoedazzle is a great solution for an amazing variety of women’s shoes on a budget. Or for girls who don’t have loads of time to scroll the internet. Quality wise you will get great value for your money and the option to buy amazing shoes wherever you are.

I tried Shoedazzle a few years ago and most of the choices I got were not well made and were uncomfortable. The shoes in the pic look lovely, I guess they have improved their site immensely.

I love the idea of subscription services, but I hate the pressure to purchase (or decide to pass) monthly. Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed your experience!
