The Bumble dating app was designed by Whitney Wolfe and other ex-employees from Tinder and aims to change the way we date forever. Run by a predominantly female team, a first in the tech start-up world, Bumble is unique in that it gives women the power of the conversation.
Like Tinder, Bumble shows you people that you want to see and lets you connect with them by swiping right, then you have 24 hours to start a conversation with your match or the connection disappears forever. Only women can make the first move, which eliminates some of the weird chat up lines some guys open with and that level of awkwardness when you first connect with someone.
For same-sex connections or friendships, either person can start the conversation, and if you ever feel like 24 hours isn’t enough time to start chatting, either person can extend one connection for an additional 24 hours each day. Meaning that if you don’t start a conversation with someone, and they really like the look of you, they can extend your match time to let you know, they want you to give them a chance!
Would you download Bumble? I’m already playing with it on my phone, I can tell you there are a lot of very beautiful people on board! If you’re interested check it out on the App store or visit bumble.com.
